Bullying: Imbalance of Power

Distance Learning | Our Location | Outreach

Duration: 45 Min.

Being able to protect yourself starts with knowing how. This program prepares students for just that. Discussion will include the effects of sexual harassment, stereotyping, and bullying within various environments such as a school, community, and workplace. Students will learn about their rights, responsibilities, and duties as a young adult. Communication skills, including proper techniques, how to handle conflict, and how to lead others positively in various environments will be taught. Students will participate in an exercise to name a trusted adult in their life to whom they can report abuse.

This program aligns with Erin’s Law on teaching students to recognize sexual abuse. After students participate in this program, schools should expect an increase in reports about potential abuse.
