Duration: 45 Min. Per Session (6 Sessions)
McMillen Health professional educators present The Botvin LifeSkills Training Transitions program in six 45-minute interactive modules that feature presentations and educator-directed follow-up activities.
This interactive and skills-based program promotes positive health and personal development in older adolescents and helps them navigate the transition from high school into the workforce or higher education. Students will learn how to achieve competency in key skills that lead to success and help prevent substance use and violence. The program strengthens students’ personal self-management skills, general social skills, and drug resistance skills.
Discussion and activities will cover strategies for healthy decision-making, stress management, time and money budgeting, communication skills, relationship building, maintenance skills (for various contexts), and understanding the consequences of decisions and actions.
