Body Safety Check

Distance Learning | Our Location | Outreach

Duration: 30 Min.

Personal safety starts with protecting ourselves. Students will learn that they are in charge of their own bodies and that private parts are covered by bathing suits. Topics will empower students to action and include differentiating between secrets and surprises, practicing emergency planning, and reviewing safety rules like saying no or sharing what happened with a trusted adult. An exercise grants students the chance to name trusted adults in their lives they could tell about an uncomfortable situation.

This program aligns with Erin’s Law on teaching students to recognize sexual abuse. After students participate in this program, schools should expect an increase in reports about potential abuse.
