Adults with Disabilities: Sugar Simplified

Distance Learning | Our Location | Outreach

Duration: 30 Min.

Human brains need sugar to function properly. Sugar Simplified teaches about what sugar is, different kinds of sugar, and the recommended limits of added sugar for different ages and activity levels. The discussion will include how to consume less sugar without harming brain function and the importance of physical activity. Activities will grant students chances to read food labels and to distinguish between foods with high and low levels of added sugars.

This and all of our programs for individuals with disabilities can be customized to the needs of the students.
