St. Joseph Community Health Foundation Grant Boosts McMillen Health’s Healthy Tomorrow App

With the support of a $27,500 grant from the St. Joseph Community Health Foundation, McMillen Health will add new features to its recently launched Healthy Tomorrow app for pregnant, or recently pregnant, women with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) and their infants with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS). Indiana’s rate of NAS is about 30% higher than the national average: 15.7% of all Indiana babies test positive for opioids, and opioid use rates continue to skyrocket. With the grant, McMillen will create a peer chat forum and professional portal within the Healthy Tomorrow app. Healthy Tomorrow is a free app available through Apple and Google Play offering short, welcoming videos on prenatal care, infant development, mental health, recovery planning and a variety of OUD and maternal and infant health topics, supporting women in maternal and infant care.
