New campaign expanding nicotine education to northeast Indiana youth

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — McMillen Health is aiming to combat the steady increase in youth using nicotine pouches.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, nicotine uses among youth grew from 1.5% in 2023 to 1.8% in 2024.

In an effort to stop the surge, the organization is looking to educate kindergarteners through high school seniors about the dangers of nicotine with “Kick the Pouch, Save Your Health.”
